Black crayon and chalk

You can make stunning picture sets with colored chalk, black crayon, and colored paper or card stock.

:: First cut two pieces of paper the same size. They don't have to be the same color.

:: Then cover one side of one piece in colored chalk in any pattern you choose.

:: Take a black crayon and completely cover the colored chalk with it. Yes. Right over the top.

:: Set the other sheet of paper on top of the one now covered in crayon and chalk.

:: Then take a pencil and draw a picture. Anything you want.

:: Go ahead and press hard. When you're done, lift the paper and see what you've got. There should be two images, each with a little different look. Cool, huh? Spray the image if desired to keep it from smudging.

Me again. I tried this with seven year olds on Wednesday and five year olds today. Fabulous. The results are equally lovely. The children loved it. The art is on my blog. Thanks again.

I'm so glad it turned out well for you, Gretchen. You always seem to improve on what I've done.
